At Café Javas, we are a family that loves baking. Our Muffins can attest to that. From our most favored and loved Banana Muffin, to the all-time favorite Chocolate Chip Muffin, the ‘you-can-never-get-enough’ Double Chocolate muffin, the ever moist Vanilla Muffin, the classic Chocolate Muffin and lastly our moist and fluffy Bran Muffin. After much deliberation and customer feedback, we modified and perfected our muffins’ recipe. From the taste to the presentation they’ll definitely have you coming back for more.
What could be nicer than warm muffins on the morning breakfast table? We’ll wait. In the meantime here’s a simple muffin recipe for you to hone and show off your muffin baking skills.
- 2 cups white flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- Preheat the oven to 375°F/190°C. Butter muffin pans. Mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a large bowl. Add the egg, milk, and butter, stirring only enough to dampen the flour; the batter should not be smooth. Spoon into the muffin pans, filling each cup about two-thirds full. Bake for about 20 to 25 minutes each.
Muffins are individual, versatile, and pretty much amazing. As a quick breakfast, after school snack, or as a dessert. The best part, they are baked fresh daily! All day every day at every one of our locations.
